We feel it is important to make it know that we are BIM (Building Information Modeling) compliant and have the experience and tools to work with the designers at the earliest of states, providing critical information that often results in cost and time savings.

The role of the Design Assist professional is to be a pre-engineering representative of the NR Group team throughout the design phase of a project. The Design Assist professional becomes an integral active member of the design team and our link into the design process. It is imperative that this team member understands the intent of the system design, the project factors, and the decisions that are influencing the system design as created by the Engineer of Record (EOR). This involvement begins at the wireframe or conceptual phase of the project and shall be an active participate in all design revisions and design team meetings. The team member may be involved with the means and method, cost estimating, and developing the schedule with the other team members in the appropriate design meetings.

All projects are designed, developed and analyzed in BIM (Building Information Modeling) software such as Revit 3D, Navisworks and AutoCAD3. This process eliminates conflicts and often finds solutions to problems before the product is manufactured, saving time and unnecessary future costs.

NR Group clients enjoy the fact that all steps are taken to reduce project cost and duration, while our product development team finalizes the architectural designs. The product development team analyzes product applications, structural integrity, materials and application flexibility.

Refining the product to maximize effectiveness of its use in multiple applications, the team researches the state and local code requirements. When large missile, small missile, water, static or any other type of testing is required, the product development team arranges for testing at testing labs globally, depending on the project requirement.

Often a Miami Notice of approval, known as a NOA, is required for the hurricane conditions in the southeastern United States. All NR products are tested to the extreme conditions with loads pressures exceeding 168 psf. The NR point supported glass, known as PSG, as well as the edge-clamped glass ECG, and all unitized curtain wall systems, comply with the extensive testing requirements.

If your design team is considering a new architectural feature that involves Architecturally Exposed Structural Steel (AESS) or an interesting Glazing system, contact the NR Group first for your product development needs. Understanding your budget goals allows us to develop a product within budget. The product development process is ongoing with the release of new products when new ideas are presented.

The team utilizes the combined knowledge of all team members and the latest software technology to track each component and step required to interface with and meet the needs and expectations of some of the largest building contractors in the world.

After installation, NR Group takes much pride in providing products and services the client will also be proud of. This includes an obligation to follow up with inspections and maintenance of some of our systems. With climatic challenges that vary at each location, we warrant our product for a period of time as designated by the contract documents.

As a service to our clients and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the product and our reputation, we provide post installation services. Extension of the warranty period is often a value option that is part of the contractual agreement.
